TikTok has launched a reporting channel for voice-related intellectual property infringement and upgraded its related rights protection mechanisms. TikTok stated that with the decreasing technical barriers of AI synthesis and imitation voice technologies, it has become easier for acts of infringement such as cloning celebrities' or voice actors' voices.

According to TikTok, in the past month, the number of reports mentioning voice-related infringement has doubled compared to the same period last year, and the misuse of voices has become an emerging form of infringement that cannot be ignored.

With this upgrade, TikTok has launched a dedicated rights protection channel and verifiable evidence submission methods, making voice rights protection "accessible, provable, and determinable." At the same time, it provides an appeal channel to enhance information symmetry and protect the rights of both parties.

TikTok stated that voice rights are an important part of personal rights in the digital age. The platform will continue to optimize its voiceprint recognition and verification capabilities on the App side and promote the construction of a comprehensive protection system covering multiple types of personal rights, including images and voices.
