Parents can enable this mode in the settings of the Qwen APP and set a separate password. Once enabled, the APP will retain only the above four functions, isolate conversation records from the normal mode, and restrict access to third-party links, reducing the risk of exposure to uncontrollable content.

After enabling the minor protection mode, Qwen will strengthen the management of inappropriate content such as vulgar or violent material and respond to related questions in a way that suits the cognitive characteristics of minors. At the same time, Qwen will softly refuse to answer requests for simulated intimate relationship services such as virtual partners or relatives, and provide positive guidance to prevent minors from developing unhealthy emotional dependencies.

When detecting extreme emotional tendencies, Qwen will prioritize providing professional psychological assistance hotline information, guiding users to seek help from professionals or people around them. If a user continues to use the APP for more than 30 minutes under the minor protection mode, they will also receive a rest reminder to protect their physical and mental health.
