Meta Invests Millions to Create Celebrity AI Avatars

Recently, famous actress Jamie Lee Curtis has made a strong appeal to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, on social media, requesting him to immediately remove a false advertisement created using AI deepfake technology. This advertisement distorts her remarks from an interview with MSNBC by modifying video clips to promote an undisclosed product. In her statement, Curtis pointed out that she has never authorized or agreed to this advertisement.
Google recently announced that the download volume of its AI model collection, Gemma, has exceeded 150 million times, marking significant progress for the project. Omar Sanseviero, a developer relations engineer at Google DeepMind, shared this news on social platform X and revealed that more than 70,000 different versions of the Gemma model have been created by developers on the AI development platform Hugging Face.
