Suno co-founder and CEO Mikey Shulman announced the launch of the new generation music model v6. This version was not developed in isolation by Suno, but rather a product of collaboration with music companies such as Warner Music Group, BMG, and Believe, and has been officially called the biggest step so far towards the vision of "enabling more people to enjoy creating music."

v6 is introduced for the first time in the form of a "model suite," containing three members with different positions. The flagship v6 is aimed at Pro and Premier subscribers, reliable and accurate, delivering polished finished products across various genres; v6-wild is also open to Pro and Premier users, but follows an exploratory and unexpected route, being more unpredictable and richer in texture, specifically providing creators with inspiration sparks to improvise or refine later; v6-mini is faster and lighter, open to everyone, and the official claims it is faster and better than any free model on any music platform. All of them understand the language of musicians - from vocals, instrumental arrangements, structure, to emotion, references, and the overall feeling of the song, conveying and refining complex visions, different directions, and multiple details better.

What truly helps creators get started is a series of new capabilities tagged with "control." You can change a specific part of a song using natural language while keeping other parts you already like, for example, "change the chorus to be sung by a gospel choir"; you can mix and match multiple songs in one request, taking the vocals from x, the drum beats from y, and adding new lyrics to create an 80s synth wave; sample, isolate, and build a beat around a specific phrase within a single workflow; start from atmosphere, genre, or inspiration combinations, letting the model grasp the feeling of "midnight under the roof" as a creative starting point; even more powerful is multi-modal input - text, audio, images, and videos can all serve as seeds, allowing a song to grow from a picture, a recording, and a diary entry; changing lyrics can be precise down to the word, replacing "love" with "light" without needing to rebuild the entire song. As v6 expands, old models will be phased out, and Suno will move its entire platform to the v6 era.
