On May 13, the 2026 Spring Recruitment Employment Report released by Maimai showed that the demand for AI industry talent in China has experienced explosive growth, with frontier fields such as embodied intelligence entering a period of rapid expansion. Data shows that from January to April 2026, the total number of positions related to the AI field increased by 8.7 times year-on-year, among which the growth of positions in embodied intelligence was particularly significant, with a year-on-year increase of as much as 15 times, becoming the core engine driving the AI talent market.

While the scale of job demand is expanding, the trend of "raising salaries to attract talent" among companies has further escalated. The average monthly salary for positions in embodied intelligence has risen from 59,000 yuan last year to 62,000 yuan, reflecting the urgent demand for interdisciplinary, composite talents. Looking at the salary distribution of specific positions, AI scientists and managers have an average monthly salary of 132,796 yuan, ranking first among high-paying positions in the new economy industry, becoming the only position with a monthly salary exceeding 100,000 yuan. In addition, specialized fields such as algorithm researchers, AI Infra (infrastructure), system architects, large model algorithms, and AIGC algorithm engineers also maintain high growth rates.

This change in the talent structure marks that the focus of competition in the AI industry has shifted from building basic infrastructure to the application implementation and physical interaction in vertical fields. As a product of the deep integration of AI and robotics, the rapid expansion of the talent gap in embodied intelligence indicates that the intelligent wave of perception, decision-making, and execution is accelerating.
