The personal AI assistant "Qwen" under Alibaba officially announced its entry into the AI hardware field, planning to launch a range of hardware products including AI glasses, AI rings, and AI earphones in the global market this year. As the opening move of this strategy, the first AI glasses named Qwen will be unveiled at the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona, Spain, and will open pre-orders across all channels on March 2nd.

This move marks that Alibaba is accelerating the construction of an "integrated software and hardware" AI ecosystem. By breaking free from the constraints of mobile terminals, Qwen aims to capture information from the physical world more intuitively through hardware sensors, thus accurately identifying user intent in complex life scenarios. It is reported that the core lifestyle services originally available in the Qwen app, such as food delivery and ride-hailing, will be seamlessly integrated with AI glasses and other terminals, achieving a deep restructuring of the interaction logic.

Market data shows that Qwen has risen to a national-level application due to its strong task processing capabilities. During this year's Spring Festival, one out of every ten people nationwide used Qwen to place orders, and the total number of single-sentence command orders on the platform reached nearly 200 million. According to QuestMobile, the daily active users (DAU) of the Qwen app have exceeded 73 million, closely following top industry applications.

From a pure software assistant to multi-form hardware, this expansion reflects that generative AI is entering a new stage of "spatial interaction." By laying out multimodal hardware, Alibaba not only enhances the perception dimension of large models in the real world but also redefines control over AI access points. This pervasive service across all scenarios indicates that AI assistants will evolve from passive response tools into proactive service-oriented interactive hubs.
