After the AI shopping feature became popular during the Spring Festival, Alibaba's personal AI assistant "Qwen" has officially launched a "software and hardware integration" strategy. Qwen announced its participation in the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, and will officially launch its first AI hardware product - Qwen AI Glasses.

This AI glasses are seen as the key terminal for Qwen Assistant to go beyond the phone screen and deeply perceive the physical world. According to the information, Alibaba is working to make Qwen a cross-terminal AI assistant, enabling it to understand user intent in complex real-world scenarios. At that time, functions commonly used on mobile phones, such as ordering takeout and hailing a taxi, will be seamlessly connected to AI glasses and other wearable devices.

An internal source from Alibaba revealed that the goal of Qwen's consumer business group is to build Qwen as the first entry point for users in the AI era. In addition to the upcoming AI glasses, Qwen also plans to launch diversified hardware such as AI rings and AI earphones throughout the year and sell them globally, aiming to cover all scenarios including office work, travel, and cars.

Currently, the Qwen AI glasses have confirmed that online and offline channel reservations will start on March 2nd. With the Qwen App previously fully integrated with Taobao, Alipay, and Gaode Maps, among other Alibaba ecosystem businesses, the launch of this hardware product may usher in a new interaction paradigm for AI shopping and life services.
