The announcement states that WeChat has recently received numerous user feedback and complaints about the "Yuanbao" App. After verification, the product used methods such as "completing tasks" and "receiving red envelopes" during its Spring Festival marketing campaign to induce users to frequently share the activity links in private scenarios like WeChat groups. WeChat believes that such behavior seriously disrupts the platform's ecosystem order, affects user experience, and constitutes substantial harassment for users.

According to Article 2.1.2 of the "WeChat External Link Content Management Regulations," any behavior that induces users to share through monetary rewards, physical prizes, red envelopes, points, check-ins, inviting friends for support, collecting blessings, or gathering fragments is considered "induced sharing" and is a violation.

Based on this assessment, WeChat has taken disposal measures against the violating links of "Yuanbao" starting today, restricting their direct opening within WeChat. The WeChat official emphasized that it will continue to monitor various marketing activities during the Spring Festival period, strictly enforce platform rules based on user feedback, and effectively protect user experience.

This public statement and penalty against its own product once again send a strong signal from WeChat to maintain the fairness of platform rules and adopt a "zero tolerance" attitude towards violations.
