According to Sina Tech, recently, Wu Xinhong, CEO of Meitu, revealed in a media interview that in response to the challenges of the AI era, Meitu is proactively undergoing profound organizational changes, returning to a startup team state from a mid-sized company.
Wu Xinhong said that Meitu hopes to transform its team of more than 2,000 people into agile small organizations, because future fierce competition may no longer be between big companies, but more likely between new and emerging startup teams. Meitu must align itself with the efficiency standards of startup companies in advance, realizing "efficiency benchmarks against agile startups, and capabilities enable everyone to become a super individual."

To benchmark current AI startup teams, Meitu officially launched an AI Innovation Studio Mechanism for internal "racing." Wu Xinhong introduced that the number of people in a single AI innovation studio is strictly limited to no more than 10 people, and the team members are more inclined towards versatile talents, who develop products within a half-year period.
The company will provide a basic budget of up to 10 million yuan, and will increase investment as needed. In terms of mechanisms, the company grants employees full authority, allowing teams to be responsible for product definition, aesthetic control, and overall project and engineering management. At the same time, the company provides strong back-end support for teams to use. Successful team members will also receive corresponding profit-sharing incentives.
