[AIbase Report] Microsoft Launches New AI Shopping Tool for Edge, One-Stop Price Comparison and Discount Alerts within the Browser

Microsoft is introducing a new AI shopping experience for its Edge browser: the built-in Copilot feature now supports displaying price comparisons, price history, and cashback information directly within the browser, helping users make more informed purchasing decisions. Users just need to click the sidebar icon to activate this feature, and the system will automatically identify products on the page, showing current prices, historical trends, and sending alerts when prices drop.

This update also introduces a "Copilot Mode," which automatically highlights more cost-effective prices or available discounts while users browse shopping pages, improving the efficiency of price comparisons. Microsoft stated that these features are currently optional settings and are now available in the United States first.

At the same time, OpenAI has also taken a new step in e-commerce by launching ChatGPT Shopping, designed for personalized product research, providing users with smarter tools for making consumption decisions. As major players continue to invest, AI is gradually becoming a new driving force in online shopping scenarios.
