Recently, Tesla launched a new service in the U.S. market called "Tesla Ride," aiming to let consumers experience its advanced full self-driving (FSD) technology firsthand. In this program, participants will have the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat and experience the driving experience provided by the supervised FSD, as well as interact with the vehicle's built-in artificial intelligence assistant, Grok.
The "Tesla Ride" program has a time limit of 45 minutes, and participants will be accompanied by a Tesla consultant sitting in the front passenger seat, providing guidance throughout. The consultant will help participants understand Tesla's latest FSD features, the car's comfort settings, and the in-car entertainment system. At the same time, passengers can enjoy a more colorful driving experience through interaction with Grok AI. Grok can answer various questions and tell stories to participants during the trip, making the entire experience fun.

Participants in the "Tesla Ride" must hold a valid driver's license and car insurance. Tesla recommends those interested to book an appointment in advance to ensure proper arrangement. The project started in October 2025 and is expected to continue until November, with promotional activities in some regions extending until the end of December. Currently, the service is available in multiple states, including Michigan, Virginia, Illinois, Nevada, and California.
It is worth noting that although "Tesla Ride" allows consumers to experience FSD technology, Tesla emphasized that the current supervised FSD function has not yet reached the level of full autonomy, and consumers should be clear about this.
With the development of artificial intelligence technology, Tesla hopes that through the "Tesla Ride" project, it will not only enhance users' understanding of FSD technology but also allow more people to experience the fun and convenience of future travel.
