Meta has quietly launched Style Sketch, an AI fashion app that helps users digitize their existing clothing and generate personalized outfit ideas with artificial intelligence. The app is currently available on iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, and no global rollout plan has been announced yet.
Style Sketch can connect to Instagram and automatically build a virtual wardrobe based on the photos users have posted. It also allows users to manually add clothing by taking photos, recording short videos, or uploading images from their phone’s gallery. The system can recommend outfits based on the user’s wardrobe and personal style, and show try-on results through a virtual model matched to the user’s body type and skin tone. Users can also select a specific item to get styling inspiration, or enter a travel destination, trip length, and planned activities to generate a daily outfit plan that incorporates weather forecasts.

The app was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra. In the face of AI fashion apps such as Alta and the digital wardrobe feature launched by Google Photos, Meta’s differentiation may lie in its deep integration with Instagram, leveraging the platform’s existing user photos and style data to improve the styling experience.
Style Sketch is also part of Meta’s recent AI app push. The company has previously launched the AI pet app Waddle World, the game creation tool Pocket, and the AI video app Vibes. The Wall Street Journal previously reported that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to accelerate the pace of new app releases and use AI to improve development efficiency. This series of moves shows that Meta is trying to extend its AI capabilities into more standalone consumer app scenarios.
