Open-source AI startup Nous Research, founded three years ago, has officially confirmed that the company has completed a $90 million Series B round led by Robot Ventures, with its valuation surging to $1.5 billion. Institutions such as NVIDIA, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung, and 1789Capital, which is partnered with Donald Trump's son, also participated in this round of investment. After this funding round, the young company, which was established three years ago, has raised a total of $150 million.

With its open-source Hermes Agent, Nous Research has gained immense popularity among developers and individual users. According to the company's data estimates, the Hermes Agent has been cloned over 24 million times and accounts for about 2.5% of global AI Token usage.

This large amount of funding will be used to fully enter the enterprise market and launch a new product called "Hermes for Businesses." This service aims to help companies deploy customized AI agents that can handle complex multi-step workflows while ensuring the privacy and security of internal corporate data.

According to a previous report by the Wall Street Journal, as of mid-September 2026, Nous Research's annualized revenue had reached approximately $36 million, and it is expected to break through the $100 million mark by the end of 2026.
