Recently, a netizen posted on a social platform stating that they used the DeepSeek V4.1 Flash model combined with the Hermes Agent tool to optimize the texture of the game "Resident Evil 7" with AI, which improved the frame rate from about 20FPS to about 30FPS when running on the OnePlus 12R equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, an increase of 50%.
According to the introduction, the netizen connected the OnePlus 12R to a Mac computer in debug mode via USB, and let Hermes Agent monitor the game's performance. The AI analysis found that I/O and memory bandwidth were the main performance bottlenecks, and then suggested compressing the game textures from 4096 pixels to 1024 or 512 pixels. After continuous debugging, the texture files were reduced from 25GB to 8GB, and non-essential files such as audio and skins were removed, resulting in a final game storage space of about 13GB.
