TikTok Life Services will officially release the "2026 Mid-Autumn and National Day Consumer Report" on October 7, 2026, announcing that AI interaction channels have been deeply integrated into holiday consumption scenarios for the first time, becoming a new growth driver for travel and local lifestyle services.
The report shows that during the "two festivals," online content continued to stimulate offline consumer enthusiasm, promoting in-depth experiential consumption as the mainstream. The total order volume of TikTok GroupBuy increased by 53% year-on-year. Among them, the order volume of catering increased by more than 61%, the order volume of accommodation and tourism increased by 42%, and the order volume of hotels increased by nearly 79% year-on-year.
As the core highlight of this holiday, the new scenarios and new channels have significantly boosted consumption. Data shows that the daily transaction volume of scenic spot group buying on the "Dou Sheng Sheng App" increased by 142%. At the same time, AI interactive products represented by "Dou Bao Book Hotel" achieved rapid penetration, with order volume increasing by more than 56% compared to the previous month. Chengdu, Beijing, and Xi'an became the cities with the highest order volumes. In addition, the "66 Travel Card" covering 10 cities including Chongqing, Chengdu, and Hangzhou also became a major driver, increasing hotel card usage during the National Day holiday by more than 84% compared to the previous month.
This data indicates that users' consumer demands are accelerating from "content viewing" to "deep participation." With generative AI as the core, intelligent entry points not only optimized users' decision-making and ordering process but also connected the commercial cycle from traffic touchpoints to service fulfillment, marking that the application of AI technology in local life and tourism scenarios has completed the transition from functional exploration to large-scale transactions.
