Anthropic has launched a Life Sciences Certification Program. According to this program, the three models Mythos 5.1, Opus 5, and Sonnet 5 are all subject to the standard usage terms of the Life Sciences Program.

This move means that Anthropic has defined the usage boundaries and responsibilities of its core models in life sciences scenarios within a unified contract—pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, and research institutions using these models for R&D, literature review, or experimental assistance no longer face vague general terms, but rather clearly defined compliant pathways. For the regulatory-sensitive life sciences industry, standardized licensing terms are often the first barrier for models to truly enter laboratories.
