On September 10th local time, Google officially announced the launch of its new Gemini Windows desktop application, which fully supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, offering a more efficient AI interaction experience for daily work and multi-tasking.

In terms of convenience, this desktop application introduces global shortcut key support. Users can quickly summon the Gemini assistant at any working interface by simply using the "Alt+Space" shortcut key, obtaining instant assistance directly on the current page, eliminating the tedious steps of frequently switching windows.

In terms of functional features, the application has powerful multi-step task processing capabilities. It not only can generate content by deeply integrating information from core office applications such as Gmail and Google Drive, but also supports generating images through Nano Banana, and creating videos using Gemini Omni, meeting diverse content creation and production needs.

Google official stated that with this desktop version now available to the public, more native desktop features will be launched in the future, continuously expanding the application boundaries of AI on personal computers.
