Code analysis of the latest test version of Google Maps (v26.30.00) shows that Google is planning to deeply integrate the "Personal Intelligence" framework based on Gemini technology into Google Maps. This cross-app feature will allow Google Maps to access users' connected Google Workspace ecosystem and personal data assets, breaking down the previous data silos between applications and achieving seamless collaboration between travel planning and personal information.

As a key expansion of the Google Personal Intelligence ecosystem, Google Maps is expected to mainly use the conversational discovery tool "Ask Maps" to access this cross-app context. The system can directly extract flight itineraries, hotel check-ins, and restaurant reservations from Gmail and Workspace, automatically building contextual routes; at the same time, it will cross-reference geotagged photos in Google Photos to help users revisit places they have been to, and combine search history and YouTube viewing preferences to provide customized destination recommendations.

Currently, the test version has already included physical switches for "Connect Content Apps" and "Personalization" in the account settings, indicating that the front-end interaction controls have entered the substantive construction phase. This move marks that AI assistants are moving from single application interactions to cross-device, cross-scenario context awareness.
