On May 12, Google officially launched a new feature for the Android system called "Create My Widget" (Create My Widget), allowing users to customize personalized components through natural language instructions (Vibe Code). As an important part of the Gemini Intelligence ecosystem, this feature is planned to be rolled out first on the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel series phones this summer, marking a deep evolution of generative AI from a single dialogue interface to system-level function customization.

From a technical perspective, "Create My Widget" breaks the limitations of pre-set components. Users simply need to input specific requirements to generate a dashboard with real-time data retrieval and logic processing capabilities. By leveraging the cross-app integration capabilities of Gemini, this feature can deeply access private data from Gmail and Calendar, and combine it with online information to build a unified information center. For example, users can create a travel management component that integrates flight updates, hotel bookings, and countdown features, or a weather monitoring plugin tailored to their personal fitness preferences.

In addition to component customization, Google also disclosed a series of native AI upgrades, including advanced auto-fill and AI voice transcription in Gboard. Ben Greenwood, product lead for core experiences of Android, pointed out that this trend aims to shift the AI assistant from passive Q&A to active service delivery. Industry observers believe that by simplifying complex code logic into natural language interaction, Google is lowering the barrier for users to customize their systems. This not only enhances the differentiated competitive advantage of the Android ecosystem but also signals that mobile operating systems are entering an era of "personalized customization" centered on personal data and deep integration with generative AI.
