Bloomberg reported on April 23 that Alibaba's AI assistant Qwen has opened its Agent technology to its main business partners for the first time, integrating with China Eastern Airlines' flights, helping users book tickets with AI, which will help generate "new" types of demand.

According to the report, users can now complete the entire process of flight search, ticketing, seat selection, and boarding through natural language instructions in Qwen, without needing to use traditional screen menu interfaces. Qwen will also provide extended services such as calculating the time needed to reach the airport based on real-time traffic conditions and booking a vehicle, offering a one-stop experience from travel planning to boarding.
The report said that Alibaba is integrating its consumer-facing AI products into Qwen, a "versatile" app, as Alibaba is building Qwen into a platform that combines services, transactions, and proactive user support.
