Artificial intelligence video generation startup Luma recently announced the establishment of a company called Innovative Dreams, which collaborates with the Wonder Project to focus on producing religious-themed films and television programs. The company's first project is a series about Moses, starring Oscar-winning actor Ben Kingsley, and is expected to launch on Amazon Prime Video this spring.

Luma introduced on social media that Innovative Dreams will integrate experienced film producers with Luma's creative technology team, working together to help producers realize their creative visions. The company envisions that creative teams can collaborate in real-time with Luma Agents to adjust scenes, props, and lighting, and incorporate real actors' images. Luma Agents is its latest tool designed to simplify the creative process, covering the integration of text, images, videos, and audio.

Luma stated that this new approach significantly improves production efficiency compared to traditional post-production workflows. Through AI technology, their goal is to complete film production faster, cheaper, and more efficiently without sacrificing quality.

Currently, there are also other startups exploring the transition of tools to product production. For example, Higgsfield recently launched an original sci-fi series, while London-based Wonder Studios has collaborated with Campfire Studios to produce documentaries. At the same time, Luma's founder and CEO Amit Jain pointed out that rising film production costs are posing increasing challenges for Hollywood, and generative AI is the key to solving this issue.

The Wonder Project was established in 2023 to serve global faith and value groups, and its previously released series "The House of David" is now available on Amazon Prime Video. Although Innovative Dreams currently focuses on religious content, it remains unclear whether it will expand to other areas in the future.

In a promotional video, director Jon Owen said that Innovative Dreams will adopt a new "real-time hybrid film production" process, combining motion capture and virtual production, shooting in a more cost-effective way using Luma's tools. This method allows real actors to be filmed anywhere and integrated into virtual scenes, and even generate new faces that match the actors' movements.
