OpenAI has recently made a significant feature update to its AI browser Atlas, officially supporting login with multiple ChatGPT accounts. This update aims to address the pain point of users who cannot balance multiple identities within a single browser.

Adam Fry, the product manager of the Atlas browser, said that supporting account switching is one of the most frequently requested features by users, and it is also the last obstacle for many to make it their main browser.
Users can now log in to personal, work, and school accounts separately within the same Atlas browser through independent profile configurations. Conversation history, browsing preferences, and personalized data under different accounts will be completely separated, ensuring that work output and private life remain undisturbed, enhancing privacy and security.
Since its release last year, Atlas has maintained a weekly update schedule. In addition to multi-account support, it has already integrated mainstream browser essential features such as automatic tab organization, plugin import, tab renaming, and grouping.
This update marks Atlas' transition from an "experimental AI tool" to a "mature productivity browser," further narrowing the gap with traditional browsers like Chrome and Edge in terms of basic usability.
