Regarding the recent "AI modification" video chaos on the internet, Kuaishou platform released its fifth special governance notice on March 3. The notice shows that Kuaishou is continuously fulfilling its platform responsibilities and responding to the relevant requirements of the National Radio and Television Administration, conducting a regular and strong crackdown on behaviors that maliciously alter classic films and animated works using AI technology.

In the just-past February, through a combination of technical identification and manual review, Kuaishou platform dealt with a total of 4,096 pieces of "AI modification" violation content. The focus of this governance mainly lies in two areas: first, to protect the physical and mental health of minors, strictly cracking down on inappropriate modifications involving vulgar voiceovers and violent and terrifying scenes for classic animated characters; second, to maintain the dignity of classic cultural works, the platform has taken all content that distorts the image of classic characters from works such as "Journey to the West" and "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" or uses modern weapons in an improper way for parody and has taken offline measures.

Kuaishou stated that some of these videos not only infringe on original copyrights but also challenge public order and good customs through vulgar interpretations and illegal modifications. In order to create a clear and healthy digital space, the platform will further strengthen the review efforts and continuously improve the AI content recognition model. For accounts that repeatedly violate regulations or have serious circumstances, Kuaishou will take tiered measures such as warnings, function restrictions, and account bans based on the severity of the violations.

As an important participant in the short video ecosystem, Kuaishou also calls on users to jointly participate in supervision. If any related violation content is found during browsing, it can be reported through the internal reporting channel or customer service. The platform promises to carefully verify each report clue and actively optimize the AI content ecological governance mechanism, especially to build a solid online firewall for the youth group.
