On February 2, 2026, the Kuaishou Security Center released the "Announcement on the Special Governance of 'AI Modification' Videos," stating that the one-month special governance of "AI modification" related illegal videos initiated by the platform since January 1, 2026, has completed its phased work. During this period, a total of 5,576 pieces of illegal content were handled, and 11 accounts involved in violations received warnings and education.

According to the information, this special governance is an important measure taken by Kuaishou in response to the requirements of the National Radio and Television Administration and to fulfill the platform's main responsibility. Kuaishou stated that the platform has always adhered to the value concept of "authenticity, beauty, diversity, and usefulness," and is committed to creating a clean and healthy online environment. This action focuses on cracking down on behaviors such as maliciously altering, vulgarly deconstructing, and illegally remaking classic films, animated works, and other contents using AI technology to maintain a good order of content dissemination.

According to the announcement, this special governance mainly targets three types of violations: first, the adaptation of classic works such as the Four Great Classical Novels and revolutionary themes that violate the original character settings or improperly associate characters across works; second, the adaptation of classic works such as the Four Great Classical Novels and historical dramas that depict bloody and vulgar plots or add modern elements for attention; third, improper adaptations involving vulgar voiceovers, violent performances of classic animated characters familiar to minors, or generating bloody and terrifying animation content using AI technology. The platform has now completed the removal and cleanup of the above illegal content.

Regarding subsequent governance arrangements, the Kuaishou Security Center clearly stated that the platform will carry out routine governance of "AI modification" videos. By continuously strengthening review efforts and improving technical identification models, it will take tiered measures such as warnings, restrictions, and bans against violators, actively optimizing the AI content ecosystem governance mechanism, and providing a positive and healthy online space for users, especially teenagers.

At the same time, the platform appeals to all users to participate in content supervision. If users discover "AI modification" related illegal content, they can directly submit reports through the internal reporting channels.
