At the press conference for the 2026 Spring Festival Gala, China Central Television (CCTV) announced a series of technological innovations that will bring audiences an unprecedented audio-visual feast. This year's Spring Festival Gala will achieve "firsts" in multiple aspects, not only breaking through technologically but also boldly exploring program content.
Firstly, the gala will fully apply 8K ultra-high-definition technology in production and use domestically developed equipment, ensuring picture quality while enhancing the audience's sense of immersion. Additionally, CCTV's newly developed "CCTV Media Large Model 2.0" will be applied to content production for the first time, using artificial intelligence to generate images and hyper-realistic digital humans, improving the quality and efficiency of program production. These technological innovations aim to present a "cultural New Year's Eve dinner" with both ideological depth and artistic value for Chinese people around the world.

In terms of stage design, the gala studio will use 14 sets of computer-controlled rotating modules to create a stage setup themed around "galloping horses." Combined with the clever use of lighting and color, the stage effects will be spectacular, like thousands of galloping horses. Moreover, the program will introduce AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) real-world special effects technology, creating interactive wonders that allow the audience to feel as if they are on-site during the viewing process.
To further enhance the viewing experience, the gala will realize seamless switching between large and small screens. Viewers can easily switch between the TV screen and mobile phone screen through the CCTV app, enjoying ultra-high-definition live streaming and on-demand services. In addition, the gala will provide an accessible version for the first time, featuring sign language performances and AI-generated subtitles, ensuring that every viewer can enjoy the program without barriers.
The 2026 Spring Festival Gala will be hosted by well-known hosts such as Ren Luyu and Sa Binning, and the host lineups at various branch venues will each have their own unique characteristics, showcasing diverse cultural charm. Through the integration of various art forms, the gala will present a rich and colorful program, looking forward to sharing a special night with the audience.
