Global technology giant Panasonic has officially announced a major executive restructuring plan. In order to take the initiative in the increasingly fierce technological competition, Panasonic has decided to establish two core management positions: Chief AI Officer (CAIO) and Solution Revenue Officer (SRO), which will take effect on April 1 of this year.

In this adjustment, Akira Sakakibara has been appointed as Panasonic's first Chief AI Officer (CAIO). The establishment of this position marks that Panasonic has elevated AI technology to a new level in its group strategy. According to official statements, the main responsibilities of the CAIO are to promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology within and outside the company. On one hand, Panasonic plans to use AI to solve complex problems that customers encounter in real scenarios; on the other hand, the company will optimize internal operational processes through AI, aiming to significantly improve overall office and production efficiency.

At the same time, Hirofumi Suzuki has been appointed as Solution Revenue Officer (SRO). This position will be responsible for coordinating cross-domain initiatives, focusing on optimizing the profit structure of the company's "solution areas" that are prioritized. By breaking down departmental barriers, the SRO will coordinate resources to ensure that the company can achieve stronger profitability when providing integrated software and hardware services.
