As businesses increasingly demand automation for customer interactions, Bolna, a voice AI startup based in Bangalore, India, recently announced a successful $6.3 million seed funding round. This round was led by the renowned venture capital firm General Catalyst and attracted participation from several top-tier investment institutions, including Y Combinator and Blume Ventures, as well as individual investors.

Bolna has developed a highly integrated voice AI platform designed to enable businesses to conduct intelligent voice calls in multiple languages and across various scenarios through a single system. The core advantage of this technology lies in its powerful "orchestration layer," which not only supports high-frequency automated outbound calls but also ensures service performance stability even during periods of high call volume, making it particularly suitable for industries such as e-commerce, finance, logistics, and education that have high demands for multilingual interaction.

Since its commercial launch in May 2025, Bolna's business has experienced explosive growth, with daily call volume increasing from an initial 1,500 to over 200,000. The company currently has more than 1,050 paying enterprise customers, including large companies such as Varun Beverages and several rapidly growing startups.

According to reports, Bolna plans to use this new funding to expand its engineering and deployment teams and further deepen research and development of localized voice technologies to enhance the naturalness of dialect calls. With the continued expansion of its enterprise business, the company aims to achieve an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $5 million by June 2026.
