Recently, hardware manufacturer Plaud officially launched its new AI voice recorder Plaud NotePin S and a desktop note-taking device that supports multiple meeting applications ahead of the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Plaud had previously released its first pin-shaped voice recorder in 2024, which received positive feedback from users.

The new voice recorder has upgraded features, including a physical button that allows users to easily start and stop recording. During recording, users can also tap the button to mark specific recording points, similar to the newly released Plaud Note Pro.

The Plaud NotePin S is priced at $179, and the package includes a clip, lanyard, magnetic pin, and wrist strap, allowing users to choose different ways to wear it. The new voice recorder also adds Apple Find My functionality, making it easy for users to locate the device when they lose it.

In terms of core specifications, the Plaud NotePin S remains consistent with its predecessor, featuring 64GB of storage and supporting up to 20 hours of continuous recording. It is equipped with two MEMS microphones, capable of capturing clear audio within a range of 9.8 feet. Users can enjoy 300 minutes of free transcription service per month.

Compared to the Note Pro, the recording range and battery life of the Plaud NotePin S are shorter, but it is more compact and portable. The company stated that this voice recorder is particularly suitable for people who often travel outside.

In addition to hardware products, Plaud is also challenging market meeting note-takers such as Granola, Fathom, and Fireflies. Its new desktop client can automatically detect meetings and remind users to transcribe. This Mac application uses system audio to record meetings and then uses AI to structure the recordings into notes. Plaud also introduced multi-modal input features in its app last year, allowing users to add images and manually entered content to their notes, a feature that will also be included in the new desktop application.
