Tongxing Technology has launched the first AI-assisted blind glasses in China, equipped with Alibaba's Qwen large model, providing real-time navigation for about 17 million visually impaired people. The product consists of a glasses body, smartphone, remote ring, and a cane, working together. A 121-degree ultra-wide-angle dual camera achieves ultra-low latency of 300 milliseconds, and each step taken can be announced through voice, supporting recognition of bus signs, road signs, and an overview of the surrounding environment.

According to Chen Gang, the company's technical director, the large model has reduced R&D costs by 70%, allowing complex visual algorithms to be rapidly implemented. The glasses can also help users find stores and read price tags through local text recognition. It is expected to be officially sold in the first quarter of 2026, with a price below 3000 yuan. Industry opinions suggest that after AI-assisted blind hardware enters the "thousand-yuan" range, it is likely to be widely included in rehabilitation equipment procurement lists, opening up new channels for independent travel and employment for the visually impaired population.
