Recently, the social app TikTok announced a new feature that allows users to manually select the number of AI-generated content (AIGC) they want to see on the "For You" page. This feature aims to enhance the user experience by enabling users to adjust the frequency of AI content according to their personal preferences.

The new AIGC adjustment option is integrated into TikTok's "Topic Management" tool. Through this tool, users can choose content topics they are interested in, such as dance, sports, and food, and also customize the proportion of AI-generated content they receive. The introduction of this new setting not only enriches users' content choices but also helps them better manage the content they receive on the platform.

TikTok's official stated that this adjustment will not completely remove or replace any particular type of content, but rather allow users to enjoy a rich and diverse range of content while choosing recommendations that better suit their preferences. In recent years, with companies like OpenAI and Meta actively expanding into AI content platforms, AI-generated short videos have rapidly increased. Meta's "Vibes" AI video recommendation stream launched in September, and OpenAI's "Sora" platform, have both contributed to the popularization of AI short videos.

TikTok also revealed that users can access the "Topic Management" interface through the "Content Preferences" option in the settings and use a slider to adjust the proportion of AI-generated content they receive. This new feature will be gradually rolled out to all users over the next few weeks.
