  • Half a year later: Completed $900 million Series C, with a post-funding valuation rising to $9.9 billion

Continue to invest in R&D, enhance AI programming capabilities

Cursor focuses on developing AI tools that can autonomously generate, complete, and collaborate on writing code, positioning itself as the "next-generation AI programming partner" for developers. The company said that the Series D funding will be mainly used for technology research and development and product capability upgrades, accelerating the advancement of stronger code reasoning, cross-project collaboration, and enterprise deployment capabilities.

As players like OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, and Replit continue to join the competition, Cursor is trying to secure a central position in the AI programming industry with stronger engineering capabilities and more frequent usage scenarios.
