Today, Meituan's first artificial intelligence integrated development environment (AI IDE) product Meituan CatPaw has officially entered the public beta phase. This product is centered around Agent and human collaboration, aiming to significantly improve development efficiency through intelligent-driven programming methods.

According to the introduction, the core features of CatPaw include intelligent-driven programming, code completion, and project preview and debugging, among others.

The product manager of Meituan CatPaw revealed that this product is not a new concept. It was already launched internally within Meituan in 2023 in the form of an editor plugin. After a comprehensive upgrade, it is now open for public testing. Its practical results within Meituan have been significant:

  • R&D penetration rate: has exceeded 95%.

  • Incremental code AI generation rate: exceeds 50%.

CatPaw is technically powered by Meituan's self-developed LongCat model — a large model specifically trained for programming scenarios. It also supports mixed calling of multiple models to address and optimize different programming tasks.

Currently, interested users can download and install the product on the official CatPaw website and experience it by obtaining an invitation code through the official WeChat account. The initial trial account provides a default of 500 conversation credits, and users can apply for additional credits as needed after using them up.
