Online encyclopedia Grokipedia, developed by Elon Musk's xAI, has officially launched. The new platform briefly went online on Monday but crashed due to excessive traffic and has now resumed operation. Data from the launch of Grokipedia shows that the platform has successfully collected more than 885,000 articles, becoming a vast information repository.

Musk has criticized Wikipedia in multiple public occasions, claiming it is biased and emphasizing that Grokipedia is an important step toward understanding the universe. He stated that the platform's goal is to provide knowledge and information in a more fair way, free from the propaganda content present in existing encyclopedias.

In Grokipedia's content, some entries are highly similar to those on Wikipedia, although they do not use Wikipedia's citation format. At the bottom of each relevant entry, there is a small disclaimer stating that the content is adapted from Wikipedia and follows the Creative Commons protocol. Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, has expressed opposition to Musk's claims, stating that the accusations are not in line with the facts and emphasizing the transparency and impartiality of Wikipedia.

Musk previously mentioned that further cleaning and improvement of the content would be needed to ensure the quality and accuracy of the information on the platform. This launch marks his exploration of new ways to access information, hoping to encourage more people to understand the complex universe and its operations.

Although Grokipedia encountered some technical issues at the initial launch, the project has drawn significant attention due to its vast knowledge base and Musk's personal influence. In the future, Grokipedia may become a new choice for internet users to access information, especially in the competition with Wikipedia.
