xAI is preparing a series of major infrastructure updates for its recently launched persistent agent product, Grok Bot, covering core features such as shared templates, multi-account switching, Chrome profile import, and desktop exit routing, aiming to comprehensively enhance cross-scenario automation and enterprise-level application capabilities.

As an AI Agent that can run continuously in the cloud and collaborate across applications and websites, Grok Bot was first tested publicly on August 11, 2026, and on August 21, access was further expanded to SuperGrok Plus (currently priced at $100 per month), Cursor Pro+, and Cursor Teams subscribers, while offering limited free trial access to regular users.

This feature evolution marks xAI's accelerated efforts to build a reusable agent ecosystem. The new "template" feature not only allows users to generate private drafts and import them with a single click via shared links, but also includes a dedicated exploration tab in settings, providing preset roles and automated workflows tailored for researchers, sales assistants, and operations personnel.

In terms of identity authentication and network layer, multi-account support will help users smoothly isolate personal and work environments; Chrome profile import will bring in already authenticated browser sessions; and the desktop exit routing feature routes the cloud-based Agent's traffic back to the local desktop through an exit tunnel, effectively solving access restrictions caused by blocked data center IP addresses.

As agent tools evolve from single conversations to complex workflow automation, these series of upgrades by xAI will lay a critical technical foundation for the large-scale deployment and advanced collaboration of AI Agents.
