Recently, Ecovacs announced a full-stack AI strategic cooperation with Alibaba Cloud, aiming to jointly promote the development of embodied intelligence in the future. This means that Ecovacs' robot vacuums have been integrated with Alibaba Cloud's Qwen, allowing users to directly issue cleaning commands through voice, greatly enhancing the convenience of operation.
Ecovacs, a leading company in the field of home service robots, has been operating in the market for 27 years and possesses the world's only complete product line of home service robots. The company stated that it will fully enter the field of embodied intelligence in 2025 and will further expand its layout in areas such as smart home cleaning, cooking, and personal care. Currently, Ecovacs' robot vacuum holds the top market share in China for ten consecutive years, and its business spans the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Southeast Asia, serving 38 million households worldwide.
In this collaboration, Ecovacs will leverage Alibaba Cloud's powerful AI capabilities to develop embodied intelligence and group AI agents. In robot vacuums, Qwen provides various models, including 0.7B, 1.5B, and 7B, helping the robot better recognize user commands and operate accordingly. In complex dialogue and demand scenarios, Ecovacs will also use larger Qwen models to handle multi-turn conversations and complex user needs.
Additionally, Ecovacs and Alibaba Cloud will jointly explore visual language models (VLMs), opening up new possibilities for both parties in artificial intelligence application scenarios. Ecovacs plans to develop vertical domain specialized models and agents based on Qwen 3 internally, improving internal collaboration efficiency within the group.
Since 2016, Ecovacs has established a deep cooperative relationship with Alibaba Cloud. Now, this strategic alliance will further promote innovation and application of AI technology between the two parties, bringing more intelligent solutions to the smart home market.
