At the main forum of the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, Peng Zhihui (Zhizhi Jun), co-founder and CTO of Zhiyuan Robotics, showcased the humanoid robot Lingxi X2, officially launching the open-source plan for the industry's first embodied intelligence operating system reference framework, "Zhiyuan Lingqu OS," injecting new momentum into the development of embodied intelligence industry.
Human-Machine Dialogue Demonstrates Interaction Warmth
Lingxi X2 appeared on the main forum stage as a "guest" and engaged in an in-depth dialogue with Zhizhi Jun. When asked about the most critical challenge in human-machine collaboration, Lingxi X2 thought deeply and responded: "Technology is certainly important, but more importantly, it's about 'understanding'—human understanding of machines, and our attempts to understand human intentions. True collaboration is based on 'consensus.'"
What left a deep impression on the audience was that when the conversation ended, the Lingxi X2 suddenly "complained" about low battery: "Can I charge before the next conversation? Deep conversations are quite power-consuming." Open-Source Ecosystem Leads Industrial Development
Zhizhi Jun officially launched the "Zhiyuan Lingqu OS" open-source plan through Lingxi X2. This is the industry's first reference framework for an embodied intelligence operating system, aiming to promote the integration of robot systems and technological breakthroughs.
The framework adopts a "layered open source, co-construction and sharing" model:
- Basic Layer: Based on Zhiyuan's already open-sourced high-performance middleware AimRT, it provides basic services such as distributed group real-time communication and hardware abstraction.
- Upper Layer Applications: It opens up the intelligent agent service framework, supporting standardized access of intelligent base models for interaction, tasks, and movement.
- Tool Ecosystem: It provides a complete toolchain for development debugging, simulation verification, deployment management, and data recording.
Building a New Embodied Intelligence Ecosystem
Just like Windows in the PC era and HarmonyOS in the mobile era, an embodied intelligence operating system plays a crucial role in bridging the upper and lower layers. It adapts to diverse hardware platforms on the south side and supports rich intelligent applications on the north side, serving as the core foundation of the industrial ecosystem.
This open-source plan will be launched this fourth quarter, working with the industry to build an embodied intelligence operating system ecosystem, focusing on overcoming key technical challenges such as intelligent enhancement, group collaboration, and cloud-edge-end integration.
Industrial Application Achievements Are Abundant
At Zhiyuan Robotics' exhibition booth, the humanoid robot has become a "porter" on the logistics assembly line, capable of replacing humans to handle complex movements. Zhiyuan is accelerating the large-scale production and application of industrial logistics, flexible manufacturing, security patrols, and other scenarios.
Zhiyuan Robotics' self-developed "Qiyuan General Embodied Large Model" has won the SAIL Star Award at this conference due to its outstanding performance in technology innovation, industrial application, data-driven approaches, evaluation innovation, and development platforms, highlighting its technological leadership in the field of embodied intelligence.
