In today's rapidly evolving tech industry, developers are constantly facing a challenge: how to efficiently and accurately test application features to enhance user experience. Recently, a startup named Blok has emerged from the shadows, using its innovative AI technology to help developers test applications by simulating different user roles, thereby better understanding how to improve their products.

The founding team of Blok consists of Tom Chalmers and Olivia Higgs, both experienced entrepreneurs who have launched multiple projects in the fields of travel and learning. Since its establishment in 2024, Blok has successfully raised $7.5 million in funding, primarily from well-known investment institutions such as MaC Venture Capital and other investors, including employees from Discord, Google, and Meta.

According to Marlon Nichols, a managing partner at MaC Venture Capital, Blok is more forward-looking compared to traditional tools like Optimizely and Amplitude. Traditional tools are often reactive, while Blok offers a testing solution that can predict user behavior before code is written, which represents a "disruptive" change that product development requires.

As user interfaces become increasingly complex, the demand for testing is rising sharply. Higgs mentioned that they conducted in-depth interviews with over 100 engineers during product development to understand the challenges faced by current product teams. She pointed out that as user interaction with technology becomes more diverse, developers need to ensure that introduced visual elements do not add extra operational difficulty for users.

Blok's workflow is very simple. Customers just need to upload their event log data and submit Figma designs and experiment details, and Blok's AI simulation tool will run multiple experiments. After the experiments, Blok will provide deep insights into how users use specific features and improvement suggestions, ensuring that development teams can obtain valuable feedback before launching new features.

Currently, Blok's product is still in the beta phase, targeting initial customers in industries such as finance and healthcare. These industries require extremely high accuracy in product testing, making Blok particularly suitable for these sectors. As the number of future customers gradually increases, Blok expects to achieve a revenue goal of millions of dollars this year and will further refine its service model.
