Google Search Update Raises Concerns Among Website Owners: AI-Generated Content Threatens Site Rankings


LinkedIn announced that it will severely crack down on low-quality AI-generated content on its platform. With the popularity of generative artificial intelligence, a large amount of mechanical and repetitive career articles have flooded the platform, affecting user experience. To address this, the engineering team and editorial team have collaborated to build a new user activity analysis model, accurately identifying and handling mechanized content.
The Central Cyberspace Administration has deployed work on short video content tagging, requiring platforms to provide six types of mandatory tags such as "AI-Generated," advancing the governance into a "mandatory and explicit" stage. In response to issues such as unclear content sources, the tagging requirement has been officially set as an essential step for posting, following pilot tests on 12 platforms including Douyin and Kuaishou. Publishers must select tags such as "fictional content" to enhance information transparency.
Xiaohongshu first publicizes its AI governance principles, emphasizing that AI as a creative amplifier can enhance creative efficiency and break through bottlenecks, while clearly opposing improper AI behaviors. It calls on creators to actively use tools to inspire creativity and address the community challenges brought by the popularization of technology.
Apple announced the introduction of an AI transparency label system on Apple Music, requiring record companies and distributors to actively mark content generated or assisted by artificial intelligence to increase transparency of AI-related content on the platform. The new rules upgrade the metadata management system, with detailed expansion of audio metadata, including dimensions such as song cover art and tracks.
Xiaohongshu's new regulations require creators to clearly label AI-generated content to address the abuse of technology, such as impersonating public figures and creating fake videos, to prevent misleading audiences and damaging community trust.
