Cisco and NVIDIA Announce Partnership to Provide AI Hardware and Software Solutions


Crusoe completed a $1.38 billion equity financing, with its valuation exceeding $10 billion, reflecting investors' high confidence in the AI infrastructure market. The company operates a large data center in Texas, providing services to giants such as OpenAI and Oracle. This round of financing was led by Valor Equity Partners and the Abu Dhabi Sovereign Wealth Fund.
Meta announced an investment of $1.5 billion in El Paso, Texas to build a new AI-optimized data center, which will be the 29th globally and the third in the state, aiming to meet the growing demand for AI applications. The design capacity can be expanded to 1 gigawatt, and the power supply can support the daily electricity needs of a city as large as San Francisco.
Microsoft recently announced that it will build a second AI data center in Wisconsin, USA, with an investment totaling $4 billion. This investment is a significant step in Microsoft's continued expansion in the data center sector, marking its emphasis on artificial intelligence technology and confidence in future development. Microsoft President and Vice Chairman Brad Smith revealed that the new data center will be located in Mount Pleasant, and is expected to be equipped with hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA Blackwell GB200 chips. These high-performance chips will provide powerful support for the operation of AI models.
According to a new analysis, the power consumption of artificial intelligence is expected to reach nearly half of the total electricity consumption of global data centers by the end of 2025, meaning AI energy consumption will soon surpass bitcoin mining. The analysis was conducted by Alex de Vries-Gao, a Ph.D. student at the Environmental Institute of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He has previously tracked the power consumption and environmental impact of cryptocurrencies and published related data on his website Digiconomist. Currently, AI has already accounted for a significant portion of data center energy usage.
Nvidia's revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter of 2025 reached $39.3 billion, a 78% increase year-over-year. Data center revenue was particularly strong, reaching $35.6 billion, a 93% year-over-year increase. Net income for the quarter reached $22.09 billion, an 80% year-over-year surge.
