OpenAI CEO Discusses Launching AI Chip Factory with TSMC

Push Security reveals hackers use OpenAI org invites for phishing. They create fake orgs matching target company names, send invites via OpenAI official emails that bypass filters. Victims join attacker-controlled AI workspaces, risking data leaks. This social engineering highlights emerging identity-based threats.....
OpenAI will release its first physical hardware on July 15th, specifically designed for the AI programming tool Codex, aiming to improve developer efficiency. The device is square-shaped with a surface covered in buttons. Unlike the mysterious hardware previously rumored to be developed in collaboration with Jony Ive, this one focuses more on the programming workflow, marking OpenAI's expansion from software to hardware.
Meta has prohibited AI engineers from using external programming models such as Claude Code and Codex due to concerns over intellectual property protection, not for cost or efficiency reasons. This highlights the emphasis by technology giants on strengthening the confidentiality of their self-developed technologies, beyond competition in computing power and algorithms.
OpenAI recently established a special team to investigate the abnormal quota consumption of Codex. Several paid users reported a sharp drop in their weekly quota, which rapidly dropped from 96% to zero without any usage. Tibo Sottiaux, the product manager, publicly responded, stating that an emergency operation room has been launched to thoroughly review backend logs and is working to mitigate the impact on users.
The biographical film 'Artificial Intelligence' focuses on the entrepreneurial journey of OpenAI's founder, Altman, directed by Guadagnino, who also directed 'Call Me by Your Name', and starring Andrew Garfield. The film has already been shot, and recently there were reports about changes in the distribution rights of the film.
