UN Under-Secretary-General Gives Thumbs Up! Qwen AI Clip-On Earbuds Debut at Wuzhen Internet Conference

On November 3, at the Wuzhen Internet Conference, Li Junhua, UN Under-Secretary-General, tried on the Qwen AI clip-on earbuds and praised their translation, meeting minutes features, and sound quality. He believes the product is very practical and suitable for his daily work scenarios that require communication in multiple languages.

During face-to-face communication, users can listen to translations through the earbuds; discussions in meetings can also be organized into structured minutes via AI note-taking for easy review after the meeting. After connecting to the Qwen App, users can also assign tasks such as research via voice and receive completion reminders, making the earbuds a portable assistant for daily office work.

Tencent Hunyuan Unveils Hyra 2.0, Enabling AI Agents to Fully Participate in Scientific Large Models and Hardcore R&D

Three months ago, Tencent Hunyuan launched Hyra 1.0, a minimalist general-purpose Agent loop system for scientific research. Its open-source model Hy3 drives Hyra to solve a core problem in additive combinatorics that had remained unresolved for over fifty years—the optimal exponents for sum sets and difference sets—setting a record as the first Chinese open-source model to fully automatically solve an open problem in mathematics. Since then, international AI giants have been competing in mathematics and theoretical computer science. The "AI problem-solving" path has been proven viable, and the next step of automated scientific research is drawing attention.

AI Evaluation Shifts Toward Real-World Task Execution: OpenAI Launches LifeVal to Measure Personal Assistant Capabilities

OpenAI has released the LifeVal benchmark to measure AI performance in everyday scenarios such as caregiving, health, education, household management, personal finance, and government services. Unlike benchmarks focused on knowledge Q&A and isolated capabilities, it focuses on whether AI can advance tasks to an executable, deliverable state and solve real-world problems. The benchmark references the American Time Use Survey and was built based on a survey of 3,995 respondents; OpenAI has continuously used it for tracking over the past year.
