OpenAI announced that it will launch a new "Intelligent UI" this Wednesday, coinciding with its latest generation large model, GPT-6, marking a significant upgrade in the visual and interactive experience of ChatGPT. This feature aims to break the limitations of traditional text-based outputs by deeply integrating a large number of frequently used visual elements into users' natural conversations.

In terms of technology and functionality, the new interface does not simply display static or flat images but introduces highly dynamic components. ChatGPT can now directly generate clickable interactive buttons, task-specific calculators, interactive data charts, and editable graphics.

Aarush Selvan, a product manager at OpenAI, pointed out that this change is aimed at providing more valuable answers than pure text, helping users complete daily planning and complex knowledge learning more efficiently. For example, when users explore how airplane wings generate lift, the system can quickly generate a series of intuitive diagrams; in dealing with specific life scenarios, it can also provide recipe images, bicycle mechanics diagrams, multi-day hiking maps, and customized savings calculators as visual aids.

In terms of deployment rhythm and user control, the intelligent UI maintains a high degree of customization flexibility, allowing users to adjust the proportion of visual elements displayed in responses according to their preferences. This feature will first be available globally to Pro, Plus, Business, and Enterprise level users with GPT-6, and then be fully opened to free users and low-cost Go plan users on Thursday of this week.

This interface evolution significantly reduces the cognitive barrier for the public to understand complex topics and makes AI products more approachable and user-friendly. From an industry perspective, this indicates that large language models are accelerating from being single-text conversation robots to comprehensive productivity tools with rich media interaction capabilities and multimodal presentation formats.
