On September 24, Huawei announced the official launch of Xiaoyi Work, positioned as a 7x24-hour personalized assistant. It supports HarmonyOS phones, tablets, and computers, and can achieve cross-device collaboration.
In terms of capabilities, Xiaoyi Work covers scenarios such as market research, document processing, PPT creation, data analysis, content creation, and code development. When using it, users only need to state their goals, and the product can autonomously break down tasks, plan execution steps, and use appropriate tools to advance the process. During execution, users can check the progress at any time and review and confirm at key stages. For different tasks such as research analysis, content creation, and programming, Xiaoyi Work can automatically match the corresponding expert capabilities to collaborate on completion.

In terms of execution environment, Xiaoyi Work supports both cloud computers and local computers, and can flexibly choose based on the required software, files, and work environment. The cloud computer solution allows tasks to run continuously without being restricted by the computing power or software environment of the local device. Even if the user leaves the computer, the task can continue to be executed, and can be viewed and tracked through devices such as mobile phones. After the task is completed, the relevant files and processing results will be automatically synchronized.
In terms of commercialization, new users who first use Xiaoyi Work can enjoy a limited-time free offer of 1000 AI points within 31 days, providing a one-month experience period for new users. From the product form, Xiaoyi is extending from voice assistants and conversation capabilities to multi-step task execution that can be managed, and is deeply integrated with the cross-terminal ecosystem of HarmonyOS.
As domestic and international manufacturers have been launching assistant products capable of independently executing long tasks, the competition focus in the office scenario has shifted from single-round content generation to long-task reliability, cross-terminal continuity, and cloud computer resource scheduling capabilities.
