At the 2026 iJOY Autumn Enjoyment Conference, Qiyan founder and CEO Gong Yu delivered a speech, elaborating on the company's AI strategy. He stated that Qiyan's AI layout mainly focuses on three key areas: fully integrating AI to empower live-action films and AIGC long-form content, vigorously building a healthy content creator ecosystem, and exploring new forms of works driven by AI.
The "Hybrid Production" Boom, but Upholding the Quality Standard
Gong Yu said that in recent months, content created through the combination of live-action and AI (a term known in the industry as "hybrid production") has experienced explosive growth, effectively enhancing the audio-visual experience, shortening the production cycle, and reducing costs, becoming a rapidly emerging niche segment in the film and television industry. In response to this change, Qiyan has always adhered to one principle: AI is an enhancement for content, not a tool for building an assembly line, mass-producing standardized products. Maintaining quality is the bottom line the company upholds.
Ensuring Creators "Win Safely," Interactive Videos Meet Small Applications
In terms of the creator ecosystem, Gong Yu emphasized that creators are the most critical driving force in the film and television ecosystem, and whether they can continuously earn income and returns is crucial. Qiyan's goal is to ensure that creators can "win safely," building a healthy and long-term sustainable creator ecosystem. Looking ahead, he mentioned that the company is actively exploring new opportunities brought by technological innovation and has already made preliminary attempts—anyone with a high-quality concept can use natural language interaction with AI, and the AI can complete code writing, producing creative, lightweight games or interactive applications. It was revealed that the interactive channel in the Qiyan App has been launched, and if interactive videos can be combined with such small applications, the creative possibilities will be very broad.
