Tencent QClaw WeChat Remote Work AI Assistant announced that due to business adjustments, QClaw will officially cease operations on December 24, 2026 at 00:00. From today, the product has stopped new user registration and the purchase and renewal of subscription services; users with automatic renewal will be automatically stopped from being charged, without the need for manual cancellation.

Stop New Registration Today, Officially Shut Down at Year-End

According to the shutdown plan, from the date of this announcement until 00:00 on December 24, 2026, existing registered users and those who have purchased subscriptions can still use all services normally. The validity period of existing points in user accounts is unaffected and can continue to be used within the original validity period. If users have purchased unused valid subscriptions (including subscription packages and point packs) and wish to terminate early, they can apply for a refund.

Starting at 00:00 on December 24, QClaw will officially stop operating, with all functions except for data backup and migration being disabled. Users can use the built-in backup and migration tool in the client to back up data such as configurations, memory, Agent personality, and conversation records to their local device; starting at 00:00 on March 24, 2027, except for information required by law to be retained, the official will legally delete all user data.

Migrate to WorkBuddy with One Click, Plus Point Subsidy

To accommodate existing users, Tencent has provided a migration channel to WorkBuddy. Users can enter from the "Migrate to WorkBuddy" entry at the top of the QClaw website. The process consists of two steps: "Web Authorization" and "Client Execution": first, log in to the QClaw account on the web page and connect to authorize the WorkBuddy personal version account (only the personal version is supported), confirm the scope of data to be migrated and obtain the migration Prompt; then add the WorkBuddy one-click migration assistant in the QClaw client, and the assistant will execute the Prompt to complete the migration.

The official has prepared subsidies for migrating users: users who complete authorization and actually migrate valid data can receive 1000 WorkBuddy points (valid for 1 month), regardless of whether they have used WorkBuddy before. New users who have not paid for WorkBuddy before can also get additional points when purchasing a monthly membership for the first time — standard version gets 500, advanced version gets 1000, flagship version gets 5000, which will be automatically issued within 7 working days after successful purchase; starting from the second time, the regular price applies, with no additional points given.

Public information shows that QClaw was developed by the Tencent Computer Manager team based on OpenClaw. It started internal testing in March this year, focusing on organizing files and executing complex tasks via WeChat remotely, requiring no programming background, and adapting to scenarios such as office work, creation, and development. In July this year, it was reported that Tencent had adjusted the QClaw product center-related business and some teams to the sixth department of cloud products, which is also the department responsible for another AI office intelligent agent, WorkBuddy. This shutdown and migration arrangement also indicates that resources of the two products are further concentrated on WorkBuddy.
