Meta introduced a new subscription service called Meta One on Tuesday, offering Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp users more advanced AI features and premium services, further advancing the commercialization of the Muse AI model. The plan supports generating images and videos using Muse Image and Muse Video, and allows the use of the AI-powered Restyle tool on Instagram, while also increasing usage quotas for voice effects and creative tools.

Meta One offers personal users a core plan for $7.99 per month and an advanced plan for $19.99 per month, both including Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus, and WhatsApp Plus benefits. The advanced plan provides broader AI usage permissions. Specific quotas may vary by country, application scenario, and system conditions.

Previously, Meta had launched Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and WhatsApp Plus, with monthly fees of $3.99, $3.99, and $2.99 respectively. According to Appfigures data, as of the week ending September 9, Instagram generated an average daily subscription revenue of $1.2 million globally, while Facebook reached $528,000, representing a 475% and 143% increase from the previous week, respectively.

For businesses and creators, Meta also launched four tiers of plans: Basic, Advanced, Expert, and Max, starting at $14.99, $49.99, $149, and $499 respectively. These plans cover Meta Business Agent, analytics, audience insights, team collaboration, and business broadcasting features, and are planned to add AI capabilities in marketing, business operations, and content creation. Meta will also introduce Edits Plus in Edits, adding cloud storage and AI assistant features.

This adjustment shows that Meta is deeply integrating AI capabilities with its social platform subscription system, expanding the commercialization of AI products through a tiered pricing model, while also enhancing the monetization of its large-scale AI investments.
