On September 15, the 2026 Feishu Future Infinite Conference was held in Beijing, where ByteDance CEO Liang Rubo attended and shared his insights. He stated that after large model agents entered the usable stage, ByteDance has integrated the strengths of Doubao, Feishu, and Volcano Engine, focusing on work and productivity products. The company will invest more resources in the enterprise market to promote the large-scale application of AI within organizations.

Liang Rubo reflected that Feishu has been in development at ByteDance for ten years, with him initially responsible for the technical aspects. Before the global release of Feishu in 2019, he once called it "the product that was kept in development the longest at ByteDance"—while ToC products usually take three months from project initiation to launch, Feishu took three years. He believes that office collaboration is a fundamental need for enterprises. Since the PC era, every technological revolution has restructured this area, as evidenced by Microsoft's transformation from Office to 365 and then to Teams, which even has a more stable market position than operating systems.

Regarding this round of AI, Liang Rubo believes that over the past 50 years, IT has experienced four peaks: PC, Web, mobile internet, and artificial intelligence. This AI peak is "much higher," and such peaks occur only once every 15-20 years. Therefore, ByteDance has set this year's key word as "Bravely Climbing the Peak." He emphasized that agents cannot exist in isolation; they must collaborate with people, the work environment, and other agents, and are also constrained by model capabilities. Only when agents, models, and collaborative environments are closely integrated can real value be created. Based on this judgment, ByteDance completed an organizational adjustment two months ago, integrating Doubao, Feishu, and Volcano Engine into the same productivity system.

For customers, the three platforms have clear divisions of labor: Doubao provides intelligence and agents, handling daily tasks such as writing proposals, queries, and task breakdowns; Feishu serves as a collaboration platform, supporting chat, documents, meetings, permissions, and organizational context, allowing AI to be embedded within authorized workflows; Volcano Engine offers models, computing power, and development tools to help enterprises build their own dedicated agents, which can then be integrated with Feishu, people, and other agents.

Liang Rubo concluded by stating that enterprises using AI are not just about deploying a tool system but about a systemic transformation of work methods. ByteDance will continue to increase its investment in ToB, accelerating the conversion of intelligence into productivity across various organizations.
