To enable the highly anticipated next-generation Siri AI with powerful real-time information retrieval capabilities, Apple has recently been in deep discussions with major news publishers, planning to pay them for their content.

According to insiders, the core purpose of Apple's outreach to publishers is to grant the newly upgraded voice assistant the ability to access real-time news and various current affairs. In terms of the cooperation model, Apple has not adopted the common industry practice of a fixed lump-sum licensing fee, but instead prefers an innovative dynamic compensation mechanism based on usage volume - that is, settlement will be made according to the actual frequency of content being accessed. It is reported that Apple has even prepared a huge budget of up to nine figures for this content collaboration.

Looking back, Apple had previously promised to launch a smarter and more versatile AI assistant, but related features have been delayed from being fully implemented. With this recent contact with mainstream content sources coming to light, the industry generally expects that the new Siri AI with significant functional improvements is expected to be officially released to the public later this year.
