Artificial intelligence star Anthropic has officially announced that it plans to open a new large-scale data center in Horseshoe, Kentucky. For this, the company has signed a 20-year construction lease agreement with TeraWulf, a major player in computing infrastructure.

Horseshoe is located about an hour's drive from Louisville. Its prime location makes it an ideal choice. The successful conclusion of this project marks that the tech unicorn, known worldwide for its Claude AI engine, is accelerating its layout of its underlying computing power network.

Unprecedented Scale of Supercomputing Center

According to TeraWulf, the company that owns the center, the power generation capacity of this computing infrastructure is expected to reach approximately 400 megawatts by 2027. Such a massive power supply scale will provide strong energy support for Anthropic to train and run more advanced AI models.

From a business return perspective, this 20-year lease agreement will bring TeraWulf about $19 billion in contract rental income during the initial term. This not only validates the company's energy development strategy but also lays a solid foundation for its future expansion.
