As major players like Apple and Google are locked in a fierce battle in the AI field, Elon Musk's AI giant xAI has also officially announced its rebranding to SpaceXAI today. With the launch of its new brand identity and social media accounts, this highly anticipated AI company has completed the final step of integration into the SpaceX ecosystem.
Back in February this year, SpaceX completed the acquisition of xAI, incorporating its flagship chatbot Grok and related businesses. This move not only achieved a strong merger of assets but also marked Musk's successful unification of core assets from the aerospace, artificial intelligence, and social media sectors under one framework.

Deep Integration with the Aerospace Giant
This brand transformation follows SpaceX's major IPO in June, when the aerospace giant set a valuation record of approximately $1.77 trillion. Although it is widely seen as an "aerospace company," its public filings reveal significant investments in artificial intelligence, which has become a core long-term strategy for the company.
Data shows that SpaceX's capital expenditure on artificial intelligence in 2025 reached $12.7 billion, more than three times its investment in aerospace and Starlink operations during the same period. Company executives believe this segment has unprecedented growth potential and plan to deploy new "AI computing satellites" internally as early as 2028.
Building a New Dominance in Orbital Computing Power
In terms of infrastructure and commercial monetization, SpaceX has already secured large computing contracts from several industry giants, thanks to its powerful computing capabilities. Among them, the AI newcomer Anthropic and tech giant Google have agreed to pay hundreds of millions of dollars per month to access its vast Colossus data center computing power.
With the original brand officially stepping down and the new name fully implemented, the collaboration between SpaceX's three main business lines—orbital transportation, satellite communication, and AI infrastructure—will be further strengthened. Musk is clearly sending a message to the world: SpaceX not only launches rockets into space, but also aims to bring future AI computing power into orbit.
